Bay Ridge Hardscapes

Driveway Pavers

Permeable and standard paver driveways engineered for snowplow traffic and freeze-thaw durability.

Driveways see loads and abuse that patios never do — vehicle weight, snowplow blades, and repeated de-icing salt exposure. We build on a 10 to 12 inch compacted aggregate base rated for vehicle loads, with edge restraints and surface tolerances designed to survive plow contact without chipping or shifting.

We also install permeable paver systems for homeowners managing stormwater runoff, particularly useful on sloped lots near Lake Michigan and Little Traverse Bay where drainage is a real concern. All paver lines we use are rated for de-icing salt exposure, unlike some poured concrete mixes that spall within a few winters.

What Customers Say

“Our old retaining wall was leaning so badly we were worried about the deck above it. Bay Ridge tore it out, found the drainage problem nobody else had mentioned, and rebuilt it properly with drain tile behind it. Two winters later it hasn't moved an inch.”

Video testimonial from Dave Lundgren
“The patio turned out better than the design mockup, which never happens. They walked us through every material choice and the crew was on our property working, not standing around, every single day.”
Dave Lundgren — Harbor Springs · Google
“We use our outdoor kitchen from May through October and it still looks brand new. The stainless held up through last winter with zero rust, exactly like they said it would.”
